José Procopio Mendes , called Zezé Procópio , (born August 12, 1913 in Varginha , Minas Gerais , † February 8, 1980 in Valença ), was a Brazilian national football player . He ran up on the position of midfielder.


Zezé Procópio played for various clubs in Brazil. For the national soccer team of Brazil, he played four international matches at the 1938 World Cup and in other cups such as B. the Copa Roca , which he won in 1945. In some games he was also allowed to act as team captain.
