Shuren University of Zhejiang

The Shuren University Zhejiang (Chinese: 浙江 树 人 大学, Pinyin: Zhèjiāng Shùrén Dàxué ) is a private university in the city of Hangzhou in the Chinese province of Zhejiang .

The university's older campus is located in the north of the city in the Gongshu district and has a student population of around 15,000. A new campus is currently being built in Tonglu County, Hangzhou City. The first-year students should complete the first part of their studies on this campus. The university would like to enable more students to study in this way.

The focus of the courses is on the one hand in the foreign language area, on the other hand environmental and service science are of great importance. The university consists of ten faculties.

Shuren University Zhejiang has about 770 employees, of whom 525 are full-time lecturers and teachers. Many of the lecturers have received national awards, one teacher is a "National Excellent Teacher" and three teachers are "Provincial New Stars of Higher Education".

Shuren University was founded by merging two older schools in 1984 and is now one of the oldest private universities in the People's Republic. It has been greatly enlarged since its inception: For example, the campus has been expanded and new buildings such as the library have been erected again and again. Larger dormitories for students and young teachers have also been built to improve living conditions. There are now dormitory places available for all students.
