Zia ( Greek Ζία ( f. Sg. )) Is a touristically strongly developed place in the municipality of Dikeos of the Dodecanese island and municipality of Kos with 151 inhabitants (2011). Zia is about 15 km from Kos town and is located in the Dikeos Mountains near Pyli . The tourist infrastructure is very well developed, there are numerous taverns and tourist shops, especially textile and herb shops.
Attractions of the place are the wide view from 300 meters above sea level over large parts of the island of Kos, the northern neighboring islands and the neighboring Turkish mainland as well as regular folkloric evenings for package tourists. The sunset, which is clearly visible from here, is particularly marketed.
Zia is the starting point of a marked hiking trail to the 846 m high main peak Dikeos of the Dikeos Mountains.
