The Ziemann Holvrieka GmbH with its headquarters in Ludwigsburg (Baden-Württemberg) is a global manufacturer and supplier of brewery plants and tanks and systems for the beverage, food and chemical industries. The company's core competencies lie in the planning and construction of complete brewery systems and stainless steel tanks.
history
In 1852 the company was founded as a coppersmith's workshop by August Andreas Ziemann (1822–1888) in Stuttgart. The first products were bent copper pipes, apparatus and cables. In 1882 Ziemann delivered the world's first copper steam brewing pan. In 1903 Ziemann equipped the Tsingtao brewery in Qingdao, northern China, with brewing kettles . Due to the great demand, the company moved to Ludwigsburg in the 1930s. In the early 20th century, the fermentation vats and storage tanks were made of aluminum. From the 1960s, stainless steel replaced the previous materials as a material for fermentation vats and storage tanks.
In 1988 Ziemann acquired Helmut Bauer GmbH in Bürgstadt , Lower Franconia , where the brewery tanks and systems are manufactured today. In 2005 the company opened its pilot brewery in Ludwigsburg, which Ziemann uses to develop new technologies, processes and recipes. In 2009, Ziemann received the order to build the world's largest brewery plant in Piedras Negras (Mexico). At the beginning of 2010, Corona beer was bottled for the first time in the new facility . From 2013 Ziemann received several follow-up orders to expand the brewery to a production capacity of 27.5 million hectoliters.
In August 2012, the China International Marine Container (CIMC) Group took over a large part of what was then A. Ziemann GmbH after its insolvency in June 2012. Within this group of companies, Ziemann Holvrieka GmbH is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Dutch CIMC Enric Tank and Process BV (CETP), which also includes several sister companies. Several companies from the Netherlands, Belgium and Denmark gather under the umbrella of CETP. Since October 2015, the companies have had the joint company name Ziemann Holvrieka.
Corporate structure
Ziemann Holvrieka's head office with research and development center is in Ludwigsburg. Another location is in Bürgstadt (Lower Franconia). There the tanks and systems are finally assembled and shipped directly on the Main. Under the umbrella of CETP, based in Emmen, the Netherlands, Ziemann Holvrieka GmbH has sister companies in:
