Zinsmeister Ridge is a high and rugged mountain range 14.5 km in length in the West Antarctic Ellsworthland . It runs in the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains in a north-easterly direction starting from Schoening Peak in the Vinson massif . From the mountain range jagged peaks with heights between 2000 m and 3000 m rise up, separating the Hinkley Glacier from the upper section of the Dater Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 2006 after the US geoscientist William John Zinsmeister (* 1946) from Purdue University , who researched the paleontology of molluscs on the Antarctic Seymour Island as part of the United States Antarctic Program .
