Cistercian Abbey of Corcelles
The Cistercian Abbey of Corcelles was a French monastery of the Cistercians in Corcelles-Ferrières , Doubs department , from around 1150 to 1609 .
history
The Tart Abbey settled the nunnery founded around 1150 west of Besançon , which was not far from the Cistercian monastery Acey . In 1609 it was closed and the remaining convent was incorporated into the Ounans monastery in Dole . The partially preserved buildings (with a church) housed a museum for peasant culture from 1952 to 1960 and have been a listed building since 1997.
