The Cistercian monastery of San Bernardo has been a 1683 monastery of Cistercian nuns in Granada in Spain .

history

Archbishop Francisco Rois y Mendoza of Granada (1673–1677), who was a Cistercian from Valparaíso Monastery , wanted Cistercian women to settle in Granada, but his successor did not manage to do so until 1683 with the support of local donors and the El Císter Monastery in Málaga to settle. from which came among other two daughters of the sculptor Pedro de Mena y Medrano . The convent has been located on Calle Gloria 2 on Carrera del Darro since 1695 . He belongs to the Cistercian Congregation of San Bernardo (CCSB) .
