Zlatko Baloković
Zlatko Baloković (born March 31, 1895 in Zagreb , † March 29, 1965 in Venice ) was a Croatian violinist .
Life
Baloković received his first violin lessons at the age of 10. After just three years, he continued his training at the Prague Master School under the direction of Otakar Ševčík .
In 1913 he played with the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra in Moscow and Berlin. In the same year he received the Austrian State Prize. From 1920 to 1923 he worked in London and in 1924 in New York . In 1926 he married the opera singer Joyce Borden (1897–1971). He later went on concert tours with her throughout Europe and in 1931/32 a world tour that also took him to Asia.
