Zombies is an American musical - TV film released by the Walt Disney Company in 2018 . The Disney Channel Original Movie was released in the United States on February 16, 2018. In Germany he was seen on April 30, 2018 on Disney Cinemagic .

The film is set in the fictional location of Seabrook , a healthy community with lively conformity, 50 years after a zombie apocalypse. Today the zombies are no longer a threat, but have to live separately in Zombietown; an isolated rundown community steeped in its unique creative spirit. When zombies are finally allowed to attend Seabrook High School again, the charming and charismatic zombie Zed (Milo Manheim), determined to play football, meets Addison (Meg Donnelly), who dreams of becoming a cheerleader and thus to achieve the highest status in Seabrook. Addison goes to great lengths to befriend Zed and his zombie friends, but eventually learns that zombies and cheerleaders are actually not that different. Zed and Addison work together to show Seabrook what they can accomplish when they accept their differences and celebrate what makes them a community.
