Zozenow , also Zotzenow , Polish: Czucznow is the name of an old Pomeranian , now extinct noble family .

history

The earliest known members of the family are already mentioned in 1389 as Zciczik von Bolczin , in 1445 Hans Czucenowen zeu Poltzin and in 1493 Czitzke Sutzenow under the knighthood of Pomerania. In the 16th century, the family had after-fiefdoms , which was reserved for the more important Pomeranian families and underlines the status of the Zozenow .

In 1569 the Zozenow , which at that time already appeared in two lines, received the entire handover of their goods by Duke Barnim X. Ledebur gives a complete overview of the ownership structure. In 1805 the Zozenow still owned Damerow from their share in Alt Schlage .

The family went out to the siblings Erdmann Otto Ferdinand von Zozenow , royal Prussian major († 1806), Gotthilf Friedrich von Zozenow , royal Prussian captain († 1811) and Albertine Clara Elisabeth von Zozenow († after 1822).

The divided arms shows up in a silver Mohrenkopf with red diadem , it is black and gold in three rows below geschacht . On the crowned helmet with black and gold covers, three red flowers on green leafed stems.
