The Ztracený potok , also Polka (German lost water ) is a left tributary of the Vidnavka ( Setzdorfer water ) in the Okres Jeseník in the Czech Republic .
Location and course
The stream rises north of the Lví hora ( Löwenkoppe , 1040 m nm) and northeast of the Studený ( Zunderhorn , 1042 m nm) in the Reichensteiner Mountains in a deep ground.
On its upper reaches, the Ztracený potok flows in a north-easterly direction through a notch valley that is bounded on the left by the Vysoký hřbet ( dog's back , 962 m nm), Kopřivník ( Nesselberg , 925 m nm) and Černý kopec ( Schwarzberg , 750 m nm). From the south a small tributary rushes to the valley in the Ztracený vodopád waterfall .
At the Hlídka ( Hohe Furth , 629 m nm) the brook turns to the north and flows west on the Na Vyhlídce ( Kalkberg , 629 m nm); here the village of Polka extends along its course. On its lower course, which leads past the former limestone quarry with the Velký dóm cave to Vápenná , the Ztracený potok loses most of its water via Ponore into the karst underground. The stream is crossed here by the state road I / 60 . At the former Oberkretscham of Vápenná, the Ztracený potok flows into the Vidnavka after xxx km ; however, the streambed in the estuary often falls dry.
Ztracený vodopád
The Ztracený vodopád ⊙ is located at a nameless right tributary . In it, an approx. 800 m long brook falls just under four meters to the valley 50 m from its mouth in the Ztracený potok.
