The church

The Evangelical Lutheran village church for God's rest is located in the Käßlitz district of the Heldburg community in the Hildburghausen district in Thuringia .

history

The construction of the church , which replaced a chapel over 300 years old , began in 1738; The consecration took place in 1742 . On October 4, 1944, the spire of the onion dome burned down , but was rebuilt after the Second World War.

Interior

The four evangelists and Christ with the globe are depicted in a simple style on the fields of the pulpit .
