Two hearts and twelve paws is a television series by ZDF . The doctor and rescue dog handler Fabian Henz leads a four-person rescue team in the Bavarian Alps. The three full-length episodes were broadcast in 2006 and 2008 .

Doctor Florian Henz is returning to his hometown in the Alps after two years of development aid in Sumatra . He takes over the management of the local mountain rescue station, which was temporarily managed by his friend Timo Vollmer in his absence. His relationship with Timo and also with the dog school owner Laura Stern, whom he left without explanation, is difficult at first. But dramatic events in the mountains gradually welded the team together, which included doctor Dr. Ricarda Förster belongs. They receive valuable help in their emergency operations from the three rescue dogs, the Golden Retriever Rocky, the Labrador Paco and the Bernese mountain dog Kitty.
