The two-family house Hessel is located at Retzschgasse 7 in the Oberlößnitz district of the Saxon city of Radebeul , right on the corner of Weinbergstrasse and across from the Retzschgut . The building application with a design by the Dresden architect Oswin Hempel was made in March 1937 by the client Dr. med. Hessel, the building permit was granted in May 1938. The Radebeul master builder Franz Stolle implemented the project, the completion of which was announced in January 1939.

The two-storey two - family house , including its enclosure, is a listed building "in the distinctive homeland style based on old vineyard houses" and stands on a natural stone plinth and has a steep, tiled hipped roof that is lit by only a few hipped dormers .

The two-axis narrow side of the house faces Retzschgasse. There the entrance to the house is in an arched frame that shows a putto instead of a keystone . The long side of the building faces Weinbergstrasse. The approximately central window axis is represented by two round windows lying one above the other.
