description

The former byre-dwelling and barn of Zweiseithofes stand together under monument protection . The small two-storey stable house, massive below and half-timbered on the upper floor , is simply plastered and has a tiled gable roof . The building is oriented towards the gable and faces the street at the front.

At the back of the courtyard and aligned across it is the barn, on the side facing away from the embankment towards the village, also simply plastered and with a tiled gable roof. There is an arched gate in the barn.

The entrance to the courtyard is formed by simple sandstone pillars that hold the entrance gate.

The award-winning cottage garden is behind the courtyard or on the side of the embankment.

history

Some of the properties outside of Naundorf's old community on the Anger were built towards the end of the 16th century, in particular the properties on today's Coswiger Straße, the street An der Unterführung and the Horkenweg, as well as the two properties at Altnaundorf 18 (in the north ) and Altnaundorf 38 (in the south).

The current house was built around 1800. In 1868 the "house and field owner" Johann Gottfried Peschel had the master builder Moritz Große build a new barn based on his design.

In 2001, the owners received the Radebeul builder award in the category: Special award for open space and garden design for the property “picturesquely on the railway embankment”. “With simple design elements, an oasis of calm was created with cultivation of useful plants, an ornamental garden, facade greening and an orchard that invites you to linger” and “[reflects] a design corresponding to the typical landscape of the place”.
