Theo Reinhardt (born September 17, 1990 in Berlin ) is a German racing cyclist who is active on track and road .

Athletic career

In 2007, Theo Reinhardt became German Vice-Champion of the Juniors in the team pursuit , together with Thomas Juhas , Julius Marquardt and Benjamin Bernhard, after he had already stood on the podium in the youth class at German championships. In 2008 he became German junior champion in two-man team driving with Thomas Juhas . At the European Rail Championships (youngsters) he was third, with the four ( Johannes Kahra , Jakob Steigmiller and Thomas Juhas) in the team pursuit and in the single pursuit .

In 2010 Reinhardt was Vice European Champion (youngsters) in the team pursuit (with Kahra, Steigmiller and Lucas Liß ) in Saint Petersburg . He also finished second in the Sachsenring bike race and was sixth in the overall ranking of the Tour du Loir-et-Cher . In 2011 he was third in the German championship in two-man team driving , together with Ralf Matzka , and in the team pursuit (with Marcel Kalz , Robert Bengsch and Bastian Faltin).

In 2012 Theo Reinhardt was able to place in the top ten in several road races; at the German track championships he was runner-up in points driving and third in the team pursuit (with Maximilian Beyer , Hans Pirius and Sebastian Wotschke). In the same year he was nominated by the Association of German Cyclists for the European Track Championships in Panevėžys , Lithuania , where he won the silver medal in the team pursuit (with Lucas Liß , Henning Bommel and Maximilian Beyer ).

At the UCI-Bahn World Championships 2013 in Minsk Reinhardt and Henning Bommel won the bronze medal in the two-man team . In 2014 he was a member of the German four-wheeler, which won the silver medal in the team pursuit at the European Championships .

In 2016 Theo Reinhard was nominated for the team pursuit at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . He was used in the first round and finished fifth together with Nils Schomber , Kersten Thiele , Domenic Weinstein and Henning Bommel . In January 2018 he won a six-day race for the first time in Bremen together with Kenny De Ketele . At the beginning of March he and Roger Kluge became world champion in two-man team driving at the World Railroad Championships in Apeldoorn . At the European Railway Championships in the same year , the duo took second place. In 2019 Reinhardt and Kluge were able to defend their world title.
