High Times: Singles 1992-2006 is a collection of Jamiroquai's past hits, and includes two new songs: "Runaway," and "Radio." Most of the band's best known songs are included, with two notable exceptions: "King For A Day" and "You Give Me Something," although a remix of the latter appears on CD2 of the Special Edition release. Upon release, the album reached the top of the BBC Radio 1 albums chart [1] Most, if not all of the tracks on this compilation album are "radio" or "single edits".
Promotion
High Times: Singles received relatively heavy promotion for a "Greatest hits" album. Posters promoting the album were found in some cities [1], and very many promotional performances were also held, most notable one being the London Jazz Cafe performance, which is notable for being the first Jamiroquai perfomance in the last few years that included wind instruments. The album was also heavily promoted via the internet, most notably via Yahoo! Answers[2], and a competition to win an MP3 player that contains the new album.
A reflection of the photographer shooting the image can be seen in the hat's surface, however, only in the promotional images, as the cover of the hard copy has the photographer erased from the image.
Aside from the Dynamite cover, the cover of this album is the only one which is a non-photomanipulatedphotograph, if the fact that the photographer's reflection was removed in the final release is ignored.
This album ends Jamiroquai's contract with Sony BMG.
On the DVD of High Times: Singles 1992 - 2006, the track Black Capricorn Day is not actually listed on the back.
