Stuart Zender
Stuart Patrick Jude Zender (born March 18, 1974 in Sheffield , South Yorkshire , England ) is a British bassist , composer and music producer .
Zender grew up in Philadelphia and was a founding member of the acid jazz band Jamiroquai , whose first three albums, Emergency on Planet Earth , The Return of the Space Cowboy and Traveling Without Moving, featured him. He left the band during the recording of the fourth album Synkronized due to a dispute with singer Jay Kay .
After leaving, Zender worked with his own band Leroi as well as numerous other artists, including Stevie Wonder , All Saints , Omar , Lauryn Hill , Gorillaz , Ms. Dynamite and many others.
He has a daughter with All Saints singer Melanie Blatt .
