Josh Perry (born 4 February, 1981 in Newcastle, New South Wales) is an Australian professional rugby league player for the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles in the National Rugby League (NRL) competition. Perry previously played for the Newcastle Knights and has also represented New South Wales. His position of choice is at prop forward.

Perry was selected to represent New South Wales as a reserve for game I of the 2003 State of Origin series.[1] Perry was also selected for Country Origin in 2001, 2003 and 2004, scoring one try in the 2001 match.

In 2007, Perry was released from the Newcastle Knights and he signed for the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles for the 2008 season on a three year contract.

In August, 2008, Perry was named in the preliminary 46-man Kangaroos squad for the 2008 Rugby League World Cup.[2][3]

Controversies

In the final minutes of Manly's second game of the 2008 NRL season against Newcastle, Perry gave away a penalty and was placed on report for an alleged headbutt on opposition player Danny Wicks. The Knights then went on to win 13-12 in extra time.
