'74 -'75 is a 1993 released single from the album ring from the US band The Connells . The song became a hit especially in Europe , where it topped the charts in Norway and Sweden .

Music video

The accompanying music video was directed by Mark Pellington . Filmed in 1993 at Needham B. Broughton High School in the band's hometown of Raleigh , North Carolina , it showed members of the 1975 class juxtaposing yearbook images with footage of the same people as they appeared in 1993. A remix video of the song was released on November 14, 2015, to mark the 40th anniversary of the class from 1974 to 1975, showing the participants 22 years after the original video was released.

Charts

Although the song didn't become a huge hit in the US , it became a top 20 hit across Europe in early 1995 and eventually hit the UK , where it was the band's only hit at number 14 on the singles chart in August. A re-release of the single in March 1996 reached number 21.
