(15506) Preygel is a major belt asteroid . It was discovered by LINEAR in Socorro on September 9, 1999 .

The asteroid is named after Anatoly Preygel (* 1985), a finalist in the 2003 Intel Science Talent Search , a research competition for senior high school students.
