(1587) Kahrstedt is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on March 25, 1933 by the German astronomer Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth at the Heidelberg-Königstuhl State Observatory at the University of Heidelberg .
The asteroid is dedicated to the German astronomer Albrecht Kahrstedt .
