(1619) Ueta is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 11 October 1953 by Japanese astronomers Tetsuyasu Mitani in Kwasan was discovered.

The name of the asteroid is reminiscent of the Japanese astronomer Jo Ueta (上 田 穣).
