(1830) Pogson is an asteroid of the main belt , which the Swiss astronomers on April 17, 1968 Paul Wild , from zimmerwald observatory of the University of Bern was made, discovered.

The asteroid is named after the English astronomer Norman Robert Pogson (1829-1891).
