(1899) Crommelin ( 1971 UR 1 ; 1949 FU ) is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered by Luboš Kohoutek on October 26, 1971 in the Hamburg observatory ( Bergedorf ).
The asteroid was named after the astronomer Andrew Crommelin (1865-1935).
