(269484) Marcia is an asteroid of the Main Belt . It was discovered on October 19, 2009 by José De Queiroz , director of the Mirasteilas observatory in Falera. The discovery was confirmed by the Minor Planet Center in May 2011. Since then, the asteroid has officially been named Marcia.

Data

The minor planet has a diameter of about 3 kilometers and moves its orbit around the sun at an average distance of about 420 million kilometers. It takes a little more than four and a half years to circle it.

Surname

The name Marcia refers to the discoverer's daughter.
