(4010) Nikol'skij is a main belt asteroid discovered on August 21, 1977 by Nikolai Stepanowitsch Tschernych from the Crimean Observatory .
The asteroid was named after the Soviet astronomer Gennadij Mikhajlovich Nikol'skij (1929–1982).
