(4043) Perolof is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 17 October 1977 by the Dutch astronomer Cornelis Johannes van Houten as part of the Mount Palomar was discovered.
The asteroid is named after the Swedish astrophysicist Per Olof Hulth .
