(4263) Savitsky is a main belt asteroid that was discovered on September 25, 1973 by Lyudmyla Shuravlowa at the Crimean Observatory .
The asteroid was named in 1993 after Yevgeny Jakowlewitsch Sawizki (1910–1990), the father of cosmonaut Svetlana Savitskaya .
