(749) Malzovia is an asteroid of the main belt , which on April 5, 1913 by the Russian astronomer Sergei Ivanovich Beliavsky at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory in simeiz was discovered.

The asteroid was named after the amateur astronomer SI Maltsov, a founder of the Crimean Observatory .
