(978) Aidamina is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 18 May 1922 by Russian astronomer Sergei Ivanovich Beliavsky at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory in simeiz was discovered.

The asteroid was named after Aida Minaiewna , a friend of the discoverer's family.
