Adam Lang

Adam Lang (in the Landtag handbook he is referred to as Adam II. Lang ) (born July 14, 1876 in Urberach ; † November 26, 1965 in Dieburg ) was a Hessian politician ( SPD ) and former member of the Landtag of the People's State of Hesse in the Weimar Republic .

Adam Lang was the son of the peddler , musician and factory worker Georg Lang and his wife Katharina née Rückert. Adam Lang, who was a Catholic, married Katharina born Kolb on May 26, 1928 in Offenbach am Main (born February 8, 1887 in Hahn b. Darmstadt, † December 7, 1942 in Frankfurt am Main) as a second marriage. In his first marriage, closed in Urberach in 1905, he was married to Eva Margaretha, born Lotz (born October 27, 1883 in Urberach, † June 3, 1927 in Frankfurt am Main). From this marriage came two sons named Adam and Franz.

Adam Lang attended elementary school in Urberach and then worked as a gold and silver worker and until 1912 as a belt worker, from 1912 to 1933 as an employee of the Sprendlingen and the surrounding area in Urberach. From 1914 he was chairman of the local health insurance fund for the Dieburg district and a member of the municipal council in Urberach. From 1919 to 1924 he was a member of the state parliament. After he could no longer move into parliament in 1924, he replaced Reinhard Strecker for a third electoral term on February 23, 1925, and finally resigned from the state parliament in 1927.

After 1945 he was administrative director of the local health insurance fund for the Dieburg district.
