Álvaro Lopes Cançado , called Nariz , (born December 8, 1912 in Uberaba , Minas Gerais , † September 19, 1984 ibid) was a Brazilian national soccer player . He played in the position of midfielder.

career

Nariz is said to have played at Granbery Gymnasium in Juiz de Fora and Tupi FC as a youth before starting his career at the Atlético Mineiro from Belo Horizonte at the age of eighteen in 1930 . For this should have played 33 games. Just three years later he went to Fluminense Rio de Janeiro , where he played 46 times during his short stay. Then Nariz moved to local rivals Botafogo FR , which he remained loyal to for seven years until the end of his career. He is said to have played 165 times for the club and scored two goals. He played his last game on February 16, 1941 at the Copa Burgos .

National team

His first international match, although unofficial, was on December 16, 1934, a friendly against the Palmeiras São Paulo .
