Álvaro Mejía Pérez (born January 18, 1982 in Madrid ) is a Spanish football player .
career
Mejía began his footballing career at the small Madrid suburban club CD Las Rozas . At the age of 16, the defender moved to Real Madrid . On January 24, 2004 Mejía made his debut in the first team.
In the summer of 2007, after nine years at Real Madrid, he finally moved to Real Murcia . After three years in Murcia, he moved to AC Arles-Avignon and Konyaspor for one year . After returning to Spain in summer 2012, he has been under contract with the second division UD Almería .
