Árbæjarhverfi is a settlement in the south of Iceland .
It is located in the east of the municipality of Ölfus, west of Selfoss, between the ring road 
and the Ölfusá . The driving distance to Selfoss is almost 2 km to the capital it is 56 km. 2153 people live in the municipality (as of January 1, 2019) , 59 of them in Árbæjarhverfi.
Þorlákshöfn is the administrative center of the municipality and the largest town with 1654 inhabitants 30 kilometers away by road.
