Medical collective agreement

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Marburger Bund , the trade union for doctors , has concluded separate collective agreements for clinicians since it broke away from the collective bargaining association with ver.di on September 10, 2005 .

University clinics

On June 16, 2006, the Marburger Bund signed a first collective agreement for clinicians at the university clinics with the collective bargaining association of German states (TdL). This was preceded by a 16-week strike (from March 16 to June 16, 2006) at the university hospitals .

This Uni-Kliniken collective bargaining agreement applies to around 22,000 state doctors. It provides for 42 hours of work per week. Emergency services should be regulated and limited. Doctors' incomes are to be improved by up to 25 percent. The collective agreement differs in essential points from the regulations for clinicians in the collective agreement for the civil service of the federal states of May 19, 2006. This collective agreement between the collective bargaining association of the German states and ver.di was sharply criticized and rejected by the Marburger Bund.

Because the state of Hessen has withdrawn from the collective bargaining association of German states, the state medical collective agreement of June 16, 2006 does not apply. Therefore, on September 6, 2006, the Marburger Bund and the State of Hesse agreed on key points for an independent collective agreement for the Hessian university hospitals in Gießen and Marburg and Frankfurt .

Municipal clinics

After this first success, the Marburger Bund also aimed for an independent collective agreement for the approx. 700 clinics in municipal sponsorship. After several weeks of negotiations with the Association of Municipal Employers' Associations (VKA) were unsuccessful, the MB called on its members to vote on June 20, 2006 .

On August 1, 2006, the VKA reached a collective agreement for the hospital sector with verdi + dbb-tarifunion. After that, remuneration for on-call services and training fees should be increased. The only increase in income for hospital doctors would have resulted from an increase in working hours from 38.5 to 40.0 hours per week.

A collective agreement between the Marburger Bund and the VKA was then announced on August 17, 2006: After that, the working hours were extended from 38.5 to 40.0 hours per week. The income table provided for improvements in income of 10 to 13 percent compared to the collective agreement for the public service (TVöD). Income in eastern Germany initially remained at 95.5 percent, but should rise to 97 percent on July 1, 2007. The assessment rates for on-call duty correspond to those of the verdi collective agreement of August 1, 2006.

Private clinics

After the collective bargaining agreements for the university and municipal clinics, the Marburger Bund is now also aiming for new doctor-specific collective bargaining agreements for private hospital chains . The Helios Kliniken consolidated collective agreement was concluded. In contrast, Rhön-Klinikum AG and Asklepios Kliniken prefer their own in- house collective agreements for each individual clinic. The Marburger Bund has not yet carried out any work stoppages at private clinics.

On September 14, 2006, more than 100 clinicians at the Bergmannsheil University Clinic in Bochum , a non-state-owned university clinic, also called for a new collective agreement for doctors.

Church clinics

In the area of church clinics, in particular the Diakonisches Werk and Caritas , the MB wants to align with the new doctor-specific collective agreements. The labor law of the churches does not provide for collective bargaining, but rather that commissions with equal representation negotiate the structure of church employment contract law ( AVR-Caritas ). But here too the Marburger Bund is thinking of strikes to enforce its demands.
