Äuesow Theater ( Kazakh Мұхтар Әуезов атындағы театры ; Russian Театр имени Мухтара Ауэзова ) is a metro station on the Almaty Metro . It was opened on December 1, 2011 as part of the first construction phase of the metro.
location
The station is on the border of the two districts of Almaly and Bostandyq and extends underground in an east-west direction under Abai Prospect at the intersection with Schandossow Strasse. In the immediate vicinity of the station are the Äuesow Theater , after which the metro station is named, the Almaty Circus and the State Kasteev Museum of the Arts .

The platform is 104 m long and 15.2 m wide. It lies at a depth of 30 m and has a central platform with the only exit at the eastern end. From there, escalators lead to a mezzanine floor under the Abai Prospect, on the north and south side of which there are stairs to the surface.
The walls of the station are clad with light-colored travertine limestone . On each side of the pillars on the platform there are eight panes depicting scenes from the life of nomads . At the western end of the platform, where there is no stairway, is a large mosaic that shows a scene from a play.
