The Årstaviken is a fjard of Mälaren , in the western parts of Stockholm extends.

Årstarviken belongs to the districts of Södermalm in the north and Enskede-Årsta-Vantör in the south. In the west the bay is bounded by the Liljeholmsbrücke ( Liljeholmsbron ) and in the east by the Johanneshovsbrücke ( Johanneshovsbron ) and the Hammarby lock. The bay has a water surface of 105 hectares , the greatest width is approx. 625 meters and the mean depth is 7–9 meters. There are several boat clubs at Årstaviken. A hiking trail leads around the bay, it is 7.5 kilometers long. In the middle of Årstaviken there are three islands, Årsta holmar , here the bay is spanned by two railway bridges, the eastern Årstabron , built in 1929 and the western Årstabron , built in 2005.

There are some interesting buildings in and around Årstaviken, such as the Ericsson Globe Arena and Stockholm's largest hospital, Södersjukhuset South Hospital .
