Eliane de Creus

Éliane de Creus , also Hélène Creus (actually Louise Emilie Mahieu , born June 13, 1905 in Levallois-Perret , † April 2, 1997 in Paris ) was a French actress and singer ( soprano ).

Live and act

Èliane de Creus was the daughter of the opera and operetta singer Eugène de Creus (1884–1952), with whom she also appeared on French provincial stages in the late 1930s.

Since 1930 she has also sung on records, initially with works by Gabriel Diot . In 1932 she went into the studio with Maurice André to record C'est un petit camarade . On March 14, 1933, as a duo with Jean Sablon and accompanied by Michel Emer (piano), Django Reinhardt (guitar), Max Elloy (drums), recordings of the operetta songs “Il n'y en a deux comme moi”, “Parce que je vous aime ”and“ Si j'aime Suzy ”. In January 1934 she recorded with musicians around Michel Emer ("La Rhuma da boum", "Mon coeur a rencontre ton coeur"). In 1935 she recorded songs from the play La nuit est belle by Henri Goublier and Albert Sablons and from the play Dix-neuf ans together with Charles Trenet and Johnny Hess Parce que je vous aime and other songs.

As an actress, de Creus, who was married to the director Max de Rieux (1898–1963), appeared in de Rieux 'silent films La grande amie (1927), J'ai l'noir ou Le suicide de Dranem (1929) and in talkies L'amour en six jours (1934) by EG de Meyst and Georges Moussiaux with. She was active in the theater until 1943.
