Élodie Yung (born February 22, 1981 in Paris , France ) is a French television and film actress . Her best-known role in Germany is that of Elektra in the American television series Marvel's Daredevil and Marvel's The Defenders . She was also seen as Jinx in the feature film GI Joe - The Reckoning (OT: GI Joe: Retaliation ).

Life

Yung was born the daughter of a Cambodian and a Frenchwoman. She is a graduate of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and has been practicing karate for over ten years . Since 2002 she has appeared in 20 film and television productions.

In 2016 she took over the role of Elektra Nachios in the second season of the Marvel - Netflix series Marvel's Daredevil . She also appeared in Marvel's The Defenders in 2017 in this role.

Yung is in a relationship with the British actor Jonathan Howard . In the summer of 2018 they became parents to a daughter.
