Sveinung Aanonsen
Sveinung Aanonsen (variant of the family name Anondsen ; * December 24, 1854 in Rauland ( Telemark ), † November 26, 1919 in Borre ) was a Norwegian painter and sculptor .
At the age of 20 he decided to study genre painting and therefore first attended the painting school in Christiania (now Oslo ) led by Knud Bergslien from 1874 to 1877 . He then went to Munich to take further lessons in genre painting from 1877 to 1879 by Otto Seitz . He then returned to his birthplace, Rauland, where he spent the next 20 years, then lived in Christiania again from 1899 and worked as a genre and portrait painter. He also dealt with copying altarpieces. He also created a statue (1903) that can be found in Bergen's picture gallery. He presented works in 1899 and 1901 at the state art exhibitions in Christiania.
