Óscar Rubio (born December 31, 1988 ) is a Mexican ice hockey player who has been playing for the Aztec Eagle Warriors again since 2016 .

Career

Óscar Rubio began his career as a hockey player with Lomas Verdes. In 2010 he moved to the Aztec Eagle Warriors in the semi-professional Liga Mexicana Elite . After joining the Ice Huskies Coahuila Saltillo in 2012/13 . Since 2016 he has played again with the Aztec Eagle Warriors.

International

At junior level Rubio was for the Mexican Under-18 selection at the U18 World Championships in 2004 in the Division III and in 2015 and 2006 in the Division II and with the U-20 selection at the World Championships Division III in 2005 and Division II in 2006 and 2007 on the Ice.

Rubio made his debut in the men's national team in the pre-qualification for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver . He later took part in the Division II World Championships in 2011 and 2017 . He also represented his colors at the pan-American ice hockey tournament in 2017 , which he won with the Mexicans.
