The steam locomotive series k.uk HB 578 was a tank locomotive series of the kuk Heeresbahn of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy .

history

During the First World War , the kuk Heeresbahn covered its need for additional locomotives at Henschel in Kassel , as the Austrian locomotive factories were fully utilized. The 22 locomotives had typical Prussian features and were classified as class  578 . After the end of the war, ten remained in Poland as  TKp101 and twelve with the BBÖ , which retained both serial and serial numbers and used them in shunting at the major Viennese train stations and on the suburban line of the Vienna Stadtbahn .

In 1938 the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR) classified it as 92.2101-2112. Seven Polish TKp101s came to the DR as part of the occupation of Poland in World War II as 92 2113-2119.

After the end of the war, the ÖBB remained eight copies, which they classified as series 292 while retaining the serial numbers  . They were retired by 1966.
