Ödsbach is a district of Oberkirch in the Ortenaukreis in Baden-Württemberg . The place is located south of the core city in a left side valley of the Rench and is traversed by the Ödsbach .

history

In the period from 1665 to 1815, Ödsbach belonged to Oberkirch as part of the Vordergestößes in Renchtal. Subsequently, the village of Ödsbach was independent until in 1933 the municipality of Ödsbach was formed from the sub-communities of Ödsbach, Giedensbach and Wälden. During the Baden-Württemberg municipal reform in the 1970s, Ödsbach initially opposed reincorporation to Oberkirch and voted against it with 94% of the votes in a referendum. The rejection was unsuccessful, on January 1, 1975 the forced incorporation took place as a district to Oberkirch.
