Plötzensee Ecumenical Days

The Plötzensee Ecumenical Days are an annual series of events that commemorate the martyrs and victims of National Socialism. They mainly take place in the Catholic Maria Regina Martyrum Memorial Church and in the Plötzensee Evangelical Community Center near the Plötzensee Memorial . The organizers are the Evangelical Church Community of Charlottenburg-Nord and the Carmelite Convent Regina Martyrum , and from 2010 also the Plötzensee Ecumenical Memorial Center Christians and Resistance ”.

The Plötzenseer Tage take place every year around January 23, the anniversary of the death of Helmuth James Graf von Moltke , and January 27, the day of commemoration of the victims of National Socialism . In addition to cultural program items such as opera, concert or theater performances, lectures and vespers have been fixed components of the series of events.

Up to now, speakers and preachers have included Clarita von Trott zu Solz , Rosemarie Reichwein (1992), Bishop i. R. Albrecht Schönherr (1996), Friedrich-Wilhelm Marquardt (1998), Jizchak Schwersenz (1999), Günter Brakelmann (2009) and Andreas Maislinger (2010).
