The Öschibach is an approximately 6.5 kilometers long tributary of the Kander , which drains the Oeschinensee in the Bernese Oberland and flows into the Kander in Kandersteg .

geography

course

The Öschibach is the outflow of the Oeschinen lake at about 1580  m above sea level. M. It is fed by several glacial streams in the Cauldron of Dündehore over Blüemlisalp to Doldenhorn . From the Oeschinensee it flows underground through the barrier of the lake, but soon afterwards it comes back to the daylight. On its relatively short way to the Kander, a few smaller side streams flow into the unpopulated valley before it flows into the Kander in Kandersteg. Its water is used to supply Kandersteg with drinking water and to generate electricity.
