The Austrian Prefabricated House Association (ÖFV) is an association of prefabricated house companies based in Vienna . It was founded in 1979 and sees itself as a quality community in the prefabricated house industry. In addition, the prefabricated house association offers a contact point for those interested in information about prefabricated house construction.

Only providers who meet certain quality standards (e.g. ÖNORM B2310) and requirements are accepted into the association.

Joint research and development projects are also initiated by the ÖFV. The ÖFV also works in standardization committees. The ÖFV is a founding member of the European Prefabricated Building Association (EFV).

Quality mark prefabricated house

The quality mark of the Austrian Prefabricated House Association is intended to be a seal of quality for the entire structure. The test criteria were drawn up by Quality Austria . On the basis of this, a review commission decides whether a company is to be awarded the prefabricated house quality mark. These criteria are adjusted every two years.

The quality controls are carried out by state-accredited testing institutes (e.g. Holzforschung Austria) twice a year (in the factory and on construction sites). The examination committee consists of independent civil engineers, experts from the Technical University of Vienna and the Austrian Standards International .

The test includes aspects such as testing the materials, checking the construction itself (statics, strength of insulation).
