The Wolf Group consists of 25 branches in 19 countries. The internationally operating company was founded in 1966 by Johann Wolf in Scharnstein , Upper Austria . The branches located throughout Europe are divided into two parent companies, Wolf Systembau Gesellschaft mbH based in Scharnstein in Upper Austria and Wolf System GmbH based in Osterhofen , Lower Bavaria in Germany and numerous subsidiaries.
With an annual construction output of around 5,000 reinforced concrete round tanks, the company has become one of Europe's leading companies in the field of tank construction. Further strengths of the company lie in agricultural construction, industrial and commercial construction, steel construction and house construction. The group employs around 3,000 people.
history
Johann Wolf started a small trading company in 1962 on his parents' farm in Scharnstein, Upper Austria. In 1966 he laid the actual foundation stone for today's company with the establishment of a building and formwork shop. Reinforced concrete containers and silos for agriculture were the first products, which subsequently also formed an important and successful mainstay of the company. The product range was also expanded to include buildings for agriculture, for example machine and mining halls, stables and extensions.
The first activities outside of Austria began in 1968 with the establishment of the German branch in Munich . From this sales and planning office, reinforced concrete tanks and silos were built in Germany. In 1974 the company took a further step towards internationalization with the establishment of the French branch in Leutenheim . The development and production of prefabricated houses in Scharnstein began in 1975.
After the purchase of a timber construction company in Osterhofen, Lower Bavaria, in 1980, the German branch was relocated from Munich to this new location. Further international expansions followed with the establishment of "Wolf System Italy" in 1986 in Freienfeld and "Wolf System Switzerland" in 1987 in Rüthi . Further companies were founded abroad in 1989 with “Pannon Wolf Hungary” in Kaposvár , “Wolf Systems England” in Coventry and 1991 with “Wolf System Czech Republic” in Prague .
In 1992 the company's activities were expanded to Poland, and in 1994 a production facility was set up near Katowice . The French trading company "Wolf Connexion" was founded in Limay near Paris in 1993 , another company was founded in Stolpen in Germany and in Berlin in 1994 . This was followed by the founding of “Wolf Agroles” in Moscow (1996), “Wolf Canarias” in Tenerife (1998) and “Wolf System Croatia” in Sesvete (1999).
Wolf Haus' sales structures in Germany and Italy were expanded in 2002. In the following year, the prefabricated house distribution was established in the Czech Republic. In 2004, the prefabricated house and timber construction production in Scharnstein was expanded and expanded, and the production sites in Katowice and Kaposvár were also expanded.
In 2005 “Wolf System Osterhofen” was awarded the major German prefabricated house award “Golden Cube”. A new administration building was built in Scharnstein in 2006 for the company's 40th anniversary. In the same year, another branch was established in Cēsis , Latvia . In 2007, a company was founded in Šiauliai in neighboring Lithuania .
In 2008 the Romanian subsidiary WOLF System SRL was founded in Arad . In 2009 the foundation stone was laid for a production facility in Dechino , Russia . In 2010 the branches in Orehova Slovenia and Barcelona Spain were opened.
In 2011–2013 the production site in Osterhofen was massively expanded and an office building was built in Limay France . The companies "WOLF System TOV" in Ukraine , "Wolf System OÜ" in Estonia and "WOLF System Edinolichnoye Vladenie" in Belarus were also founded.
In 2015, a new office building was built at the Kaposvár site. In 2016 Wolf Systembau Gesellschaft mbH in Scharnstein celebrated its 50th anniversary and the production line for prefabricated houses was completely renewed. In the same year, new production halls were built at the locations in Osterhofen and Freienfeld . In 2017, the new prefabricated house production at the Scharnstein location was expanded with ceiling element production, beam processing systems and a visitor platform.
WOLF System GmbH in Germany
Wolf System GmbH Germany employs around 1,350 people and owns around 26 hectares of company premises. With a volume of 30,000 t of profile steel, Wolf System is one of the largest profile steel processors in Europe. In addition, 1,700 concrete tanks and around 1,700 buildings for agriculture and industry are erected every year. In addition, around 160 wooden panel houses are produced annually at the Osterhofen site .
