The village of Österwiehe is a district of the East Westphalian city of Verl in the Gütersloh district in northeast North Rhine-Westphalia .
geography
Located in the south of the city of Verl, Österwiehe borders the Rietberg district of Westerwiehe in the west . In the south it borders on Delbrück and Hövelhof , both in the Paderborn district .
history
Through the municipal reorganization on January 1, 1970 with the "Law on the reorganization of municipalities of was circle Wiedenbrück and parts of the district Bielefeld" of 4 December 1969, the formerly independent municipality Oester Wiehe ( former official spelling ) in the former Office Verl a district of new municipality of Verl (since 2010 city of Verl). The Verl office was dissolved.
