Özcan Yeniçeri (born January 1, 1954 in Şiran , Gümüşhane Province ) is a Turkish educator and politician .

Life

Özcan Yeniçeri graduated from İşletme Muhasebe Bölümünü at Ankara Ticaret ve Turizm Yüksek Öğretmen Okulu . He received his master's degree from Uludağ University and his doctoral degree from İşletme Bölümünde at Erciyes University .

He worked in various places as a primary and middle school teacher and as an administrator. In 1990 he became a professor at the Niğde İktisadi İdari Bilimler Fakanschesi of Selcuk University . He became director of Niğde Meslek Yüksek Okulu . In 1998 he became a docent . He founded the Faculty of International Relations at Ahmed Yesevi University and became its chairman. After that he also became chairman of the Ahmet Yesevi Stratejik Araştırmalar Merkezi . In the same year he became a professor for the industry associations.

In the 2011 parliamentary elections , Yeniçeri was elected MP for Ankara as a member of the far-right party of the Nationalist Movement (MHP). He became a member of the Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Commission as well as the friendship group for parliamentary relations with Denmark and Kazakhstan . In the general election in June 2015 , he was not nominated again.

Özcan Yeniçeri also writes columns in newspapers and makes television programs. He is currently writing the daily Yeniçağ , which supports the party opposition. In total, he published more than 14 books. He was awarded the Prof. Dr. Osman Turan Kültür Araştırmaları Ödülü awarded. He speaks French , is married and has four children.
